The Sunderban National Park West Bengal was declared a UNESCO world heritage in the year 1987. The Sunderbans is basically a mangrove area. It is located in the delta that the rivers Ganga, Brahmaputra, and Meghna form when they meet the Bay of Bengal. This area stretches from the Hooghly river in West Bengal to the Baleshwar river that is in Bangladesh. There are mangrove forests here many mudflats and barren land and many tidal streams and channels that run across the Sundarbans.

There are close to 270 Royal Bengal Tigers in this region and are the major attraction for the jungle safaris. Day 1: Arrival At The Sunderbans

Once you arrive, you will be taken to the Sunderban National Park where you can complete your check-in formalities at the resort.

The Sundarbans get their name from the Sundari trees that were found in this region before. Apart from the Tiger, there are many different animals and birds and also a variety of vegetation that you will find in this region. Some of the animals include the Flying Fox, the Fishing cats, deer, monkeys and birds like the Kingfisher and the white-bellied eagles. There are also estuarine crocodiles, terrapins, dolphins, water monitors, Olive Ridley Turtles here.

You will be served lunch and dinner and you can rest for the night at the jungle lodge.

Day 2: Sunderbans National Park

Early in the morning, you will embark on a wildlife trip in the Jeep. On your return, you will be served hot breakfast.

You can relax around the resort. Once lunch is served, you will again be taken on another jungle safari. You can take photographs of the various species of wildlife that you will see. Dinner will be served later in the evening and then you can rest at the lodge at night.

Day 3: Time To Depart

You will have the last chance to get a glimpse of the wildlife at the park today. After your jungle safari, we will serve you breakfast.

Then you can proceed on to the check-out procedure and leave for your destination.
