Though India is now a democratic country, no one can deny the thrills and the nostalgic feelings that emanate from the rich history of this land. The epicentre of these sensations is primarily the temples, the palaces, the various natural attractions, the hill stations and many other remarkable places. This is one of those places where there is a perfect blend of culture with religion, each being the mirror image of the other.
The westernmost state of the country, Rajasthan is sometimes called the ‘Land of the Kings’ by many owing to the bounty of sublimit civilization and history. The air in this state still breathes in the regal eminence that used to dominate the ambience in the times of the valiant Rajputana. Rajasthan basks in the wonders of blue pottery, the magnificence of the pink city, the revelling beauty of the yellow sandstone and the serenity of the turquoise lakes.
The different places within the Western state scream stories and fairy tales that create a pleasant ambience for both the turmoil mind and the aching muscles. With so much of diversity in everything related to this land of paradise, Rajasthan is one such place where one can let all the tensions and knots flow out of the body like water, embracing peace and divinity.
Two other states in Northern India further revel in the spirituality of the Indian culture – Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Both the states have the rich history, delineated by the various architectures within the states.
Uttar Pradesh is the home to some of the famous historical sites, religious temples and the flowing Ganges River through the state is the cherry on top of the cake.
Madhya Pradesh, on the other hand, is the land where you will have a mixed culture between Hinduism and Jainism, Khajuraho being the live embodiment of this religious blend.
