Day 1: Arrival in Delhi

The first day of your journey starts with your arrival at the Delhi airport with the Asia Delhi to Amritsar tour package. A representative of Asia would greet you outside the airport at the exit gate. You could recognize the representative through the Asia placard with your name. The representative would assist you with transportation to the hotel and assisting you in transfer to the hotel by completing the necessary check-in procedures.

Then proceed ahead for a half day tour of the city of Delhi.

The first stop in the tour of Imperial Delhi would be the Qutub Minar which is renowned as India’s tallest stone tower. The construction of Qutub Minar was started by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1199 AD and was subsequently completed by his son-in-law and successor, Iltutmish. The building is renowned for its tapered structure with the top floor having a diameter of 2.7 m and that of the base being 14.3 m.

There are a total of 379 steps in the tower from bottom to the top and measures almost 72.5 m in terms of height. The other attractions that would be included in the half-day tour of the city of Delhi would be covered on the drive past the Rashtrapati Bhawan, the President’s residence, the India Gate and the Parliament building.

Return back to the hotel for a sumptuous dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Delhi

Have a hearty breakfast at the hotel and proceed ahead for a full day tour of Delhi.
The second attraction in the tour would be the Jama Masjid which is renowned as one of the largest mosques in Asia. You would take a look at the mosque from the outside. The notable feature of this place is the massive crowd near the mosque and people visiting in large numbers to the nearby bazaar that can rarely be found as quiet.
Return to the hotel for a fulfilling dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Delhi / Agra

The third day of your Delhi to Leh tour package would start off at 0800 hrs after you are done with breakfast at the hotel and check out process.

The drive to Agra would be almost 210 kilometers and would take approximately four hours to reach.

The half day city tour would begin in the afternoon with a visit to the Agra Fort and the Taj Mahal.

The Agra fort was the seat of the Mughal Empire. The origins of this stronghold could be traced back to the time of Akbar. The walls and gates, as well as the first buildings of the Agra Fort, were established on the eastern banks of River Yamuna on the orders of Akbar.

The spectacular quarters and the mosque in the Agra Fort were introduced by Akbar’s son and successor, Shah Jahan while the outer ramparts were established by Shah Jahan’s son and successor, Aurangzeb. The Agra Fort served as the focal point of Mughal rule and administration and also houses other notable attractions such as the Royal Pavilions and the Hall of Public Audience.

The next attraction in the half day tour is renowned all over the world, and it does not fail to stand up to its reputation even today. The magnificent structure made of white marble took almost 20,000 men and a time of 22 years, and a fleet of 1000 elephants was used for transportation of white marble from a distance of almost 200 miles. The Taj Mahal was built by the successor of Akbar, Shah Jahan as a mausoleum for his wife Mumtaz Mahal during the middle part of the 17th century. One of the details about the Taj Mahal is that it was built by Shah Jahan as a token of love for his wife and it is aptly considered as one of the wonders of this world. The beauty of the Taj Mahal cannot be questioned in any circumstance albeit with the prominent appeal of the marble inlay work being its best highlight.

Take your time to let the beauty of the Taj Mahal sink in! You would get sufficient time for viewing the architecture of the monument.

(A point to keep in mind is that the Taj Mahal is closed for public visits on Fridays)

Return to the hotel in Agra and have a dinner followed by overnight stay.

Day 4: Agra / Jaipur

Start the day with your breakfast at the hotel.

The first highlight of the day is Mother Teresa charity home which is known for social and community work for disadvantaged people. Following the visit to Mother Teresa charity home, the Delhi to Shimla via Amritsar tour package would take you on a drive to Jaipur from Agra. The distance to be covered is almost 234 kilometers and requires almost four and a half hours to complete the journey.

The thrill of the trip is elevated with many places to visit on the way to Jaipur such as Chand Baori which is renowned as one of the largest and deepest step wells in the world. Chand Baori has not received much recognition in Indian tourism but boasts of incredibility with its structure. Chand Baori is shaped in the form of an Escher-like maze with 3500 symmetrical stone steps descending 100 feet into the ground to reach a well that is used by natives for drawing water. The depth of the well is one of the reasons for the lower temperatures at the bottom as compared to that on the surface.

People of the city could take some time away from the fast pacing urban life and relax with the splendid rural experience. Then you would have lunch at Abhaberi village. Some of the details about Abhaberi Village camp include the fact that the complete staff of the camp is from nearby villages and the local folk dances are performed by local villagers. The ingredients used in the lunch are purchased from the people of Abhaberi village.

The journey to the top of the fortress would be with an elephant or a jeep and could save you from getting tired. Upon reaching the top of the fortress, you could take a casual walk through the widespread complex with halls and courtyards. The inlaid mirrors and precious stones in the walls along with magnificent wall paintings add up to the beauty of the fort. You would not want to miss out on Sheesh Mahal or the Hall of Mirrors in which many mirrors reflect the light of a single lamp to shine up the whole room.

During your drive to Amber, you would also find another one of the renowned attractions of Jaipur, the Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds.
